Bloom and Baby Doula 🌿

Hello &
Congratulations to you!

Whether you're expecting yourself or supporting someone who is, I'm glad you've found your way here.
I’m Emma, a certified and experienced doula providing support throughout pregnancy, birth, and those early newborn days. However your journey to parenthood unfolds, you deserve to feel supported and confident every step of the way.

My role as a doula is to offer clear information, steady emotional support, and practical guidance so you can focus on what really matters- your own needs, instincts, and wishes and those of your baby.

Love Emma xx

So,what is a doula?
A doula offers continuous emotional, practical, and evidence-based support before, during, and after birth helping you feel informed, calm, and cared for every step of the way.

A doula is not a medical professional but a trusted guide who knows how to read the room, support your choices, and help you stay steady and confident through the unknowns.

A doula is the calm presence quietly handing you water, encouraging your partner to stay involved, breathing with you through intense moments, and reminding you how amazing you are even when things feel tough.

And the support doesn’t stop once your baby is here. A doula stays by your side in those first days, helping you adjust, feed, and find your way through the challenges of new parenthood with kindness and practical help.

Why do you need a doula?
Because birth is a deeply personal experience and having someone dedicated entirely to you makes all the difference.
There used to be a time when people had a village. People by their side who had been there before, who understood it all and were not phased by the ups and downs. These days, that kind of care does not always show up on its own, so the doula brings it back.

Research shows that having a doula makes a real difference. With a doula by their side, people are less likely to need a caesarean, less likely to be induced and more likely to have a straightforward vaginal birth. Studies also show labours are often shorter, there is less need for pain relief like epidurals and babies are more likely to have higher Apgar scores.
Most importantly, parents feel more satisfied, more confident and more positive about their experience overall.
A bit about me...
I live in Earlsfield, South West London with my very chilled husband, our three wonderfully chaotic kids and one extremely patient cat.

I’ve always been the person who stops to chat with someone expecting or pushing a pram. There’s something incredibly special about the journey into parenthood as it's a time of change, challenge and huge transformation.

After my own birth experiences, becoming a doula felt like the most natural next step and I have never looked back!
